When to Go
Sydney has some of the strangest weather in the world. Summer in December is scorching hot, very humid and can see very heavy rain. Winter in July is cold, gloomy and wet. The best time to travel to Sydney is during the in-between months around April or September when the weather is sunny, but not too hot or cold.
How to Get Around
Sydney isn't too big and most can be traveled on foot. The city's rail network works relatively well and services the outer suburbs. Taxis are a good option for shorter distances, but avoid peak hour. Renting a car is generally not a good idea as inner Sydney has lots of one way streets which gets very confusing.
